With the jungle being different to any other environment that you may have hunted in before, you may want to bring some of the following items with, or take note of the following:
- Trousers. Bring an extra pair or two of trousers along. Hunting in the rainforest, one expects to get wet and encounter some rainy weather. When it rains, daily laundry may not always dry in time, and it is handy to have some extra clothing that is dry. Beware of lightweight synthetic materials, they easily get ripped and torn in the forest.
- Shirts. Bring extra hunting shirts for the same reason as above.
- T-Shirts. It is always nice to have a nice dry T-shirt to change into when you get back to a vehicle soaked after a long walk.
- Boots. As one will always end up getting your boots wet and muddy in the jungle, it is nice to have a second pair of dry boots to wear the next day. Lightweight ankle boots of synthetic materials always do better than heavy leather boots in the wet.
- Raingear. Bring along some lightweight raingear for wearing around camp. One does not wear this when hunting, as one will sweat more within the raingear when hunting, but rather wear it around camp and possibly when looking at tracks.
- A waterproof bag for storing cameras, phones, first aid packs, etc is very handy. Small fold up bags that fit within a backpack are readily available at most fishing shops.
