South Africa is often seen as the world in one country. This is no more evident than in the eastern Cape where Mike Currie Adventures (MCA) concentrates most of our South African safaris. The eastern Cape is possibly one of the safest and easily accessible hunting areas in Africa, and due to its climate and diversity, it makes it an ideal family destination. Not only is this malaria free, but here one may be a stones throw away from the beach hunting Cape Bushbuck in the morning, and then be on the top of the mountains looking for Vaal Rhebok in the evening. The diversity of this region is something to be seen!!
DOCUMENTATION
Most nationalities DO NOT require a VISA in order to visit South Africa.
Please be aware when traveling with minors under the age of 18, South Africa requires an unabridged Birth Certificate stating the minors FULL NAMES AS STATED ON THE PASSPORT, as well as the names of BOTH PARENTS. Copies of both parents passports should also be present. When traveling with one parent, a LETTER OF CONSENT from the other parent should also be brought with

South Africa is often seen as “tame” and all the hunting done on small ranches… but, we love hunting every bit as much as the rest of you do, that is why MCA operates only on large tracts of land and in areas where the hunt remains a challenge. We love what we do, and are proud of what we are able to offer you!
Accommodations that we make use of are world class, and nowhere will you be left wanting! In fact, you may head home a couple of pounds heavier than when you landed.
So, be it for a family safari where you are wanting to introduce your kids to the wonders of Africa, or a specialized species safari for yourself, MCA will have exactly the spot to show you all a great time.
FIREARMS
Please consult with us regarding the temporary importation of your firearms into South Africa. We prefer to make use of pre-issued gun permits in order to make your travel hassle free.
For those not wanting to travel with their own firearms, we have a selection of good quality rifles available for hire.
MEDICAL / VACCINATIONS
SPECIES
South Africa has some Malaria areas, and malaria prophylaxis is strongly recommended if you are visiting any of those areas.
The Eastern Cape where we concentrate our operation is a Malaria Free area.
Should your safari take you to various other areas, please consult with us to find out if your specific area in South Africa would be a Malaria area.
